Meet Pete

Pete Laffin is a widely published essayist. He is also a renowned writing coach and teen mentor with an exemplary record of bringing out the best in his students and improving their life outcomes. Pete holds a B.A. in Philosophy from SUNY New Paltz and an MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. For over a decade Pete has devoted his life to helping young people discover their depths and achieve their highest purpose. He has taught writing workshops at numerous levels and institutions. Pete’s method for teaching the college essay achieves two crucial ends: the development of an inspiring life vision and a drastic improvement in college admissions outcomes. Pete currently lives in New England with his wife and their dog Roger.
